John Wind is the founder, owner and designer of Maximal Art. He founded the business in 1985 upon graduating from the Slade School of Art in London. John's passion for collage, history and found objects form the basis of his design vocabulary. His design flair and vision have earned him a position among this era's most notable accessory designers.
The distinctive look of Maximal Art involves a unique style of collaging images from antique postcards, journals, wallpapers, photographs, love letters and fabrics in a modern way. This results in creating romantic and sometimes whimsical works of art to be worn and displayed in the home and on the person.
