A spark of interest in the early 1980's led to purchasing an old German tree at a flea market. This led to making their superb hand-made reproductions of dyed goose feathers and now extending to many colored trees created for year round use and all seasons. German immigrants first brought dyed goose feathers on wire frames to the New World in the 1800's. Avid conservationist Teddy Roosevelt promoted artifical trees and the Twins, with the help of their families, have continued these wonderful traditions in their cottage business in Ohio. Karen and Sharen have been featured in "Better Homes and Gardens Santa Claus Collection's" most recent 5th edition as well as other national magazines.
